Editorial Policy
This site publishes dosage and unit-conversion information about vitamins and insulin. That is health information, so here is how it is produced, and what it is not.
Sources
Conversion factors come from the WHO International Standards and the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements. Recommended intakes, tolerable upper limits and deficiency thresholds cite the health authority relevant to the language of the page. Primary sources are listed at the foot of every guide, with links wherever the source is public.
How pages are checked
Every conversion factor and dosage figure is verified against the primary source cited on the same page. Where authorities disagree — and for vitamin D they frequently do — the page says so and gives both figures rather than quietly choosing one.
This is not medical advice
Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prescription, or a substitute for a clinician who knows your history. Requirements vary with blood levels, body weight, medication and existing conditions. Insulin dosing in particular must be set by a healthcare provider — our insulin page explains units, it does not guide treatment.
Affiliate links do not influence content
Affiliate links point at search results rather than a specific product, so there is no brand for us to favour. No manufacturer has paid for placement and no page has been written or altered to make a product look better. Guides about toxicity, overdose, prescription-strength doses and pregnancy carry no affiliate links at all.
Corrections
If a figure on this site does not match its cited source, that is an error and we want it fixed. Write to contact@7iu.net with the page address and the source you are comparing against.
